Episode 56: Cult Horror Movies

14611081_1105879096127540_8980095361735976117_n

Once again, we managed to get a horror movie episode of this podcast cursed – from broken and stolen laptops to WiFi that broke down, we experienced a number of scheduling errors and thus didn’t quite get this out before Hallowe’en. But this way, you can continue listening to people talking about scary movies this November! We are joined by special guest Jessica Manzo from www.frenchtoastsunday.com as well and would like to thank her for that 🙂

PS: We deeply apologize for the background noise in this episode, we are not quite sure where it came from, but some of us had to record from our phones so that might be the issue. There are also no songs this time around.

Structure:
00:00 – 02:00 – Chick chatter & Introductions
02:00 – 10:38 – Guest questionnaire
10:38 – 39:57- The chicks and Jess discuss The Evil Dead, Videodrome and Suspiria
39:57 – 47:26 – Plugs and Goodbyes

Episode 50: Nº50- The Anniversary Episode

podcast-50-banner-6.png

AAAA we did it! It took us quite a while but we’re so excited that we reached this half-century mark. It’s been so fun, you guys, and thank you for being such patient and awesome listeners.

In our 50th episode (woo hoo!), the chicks take their own guest questionnaire, talk about three female-directed movies, listen to some other film bloggers list their favourite female-directed films and declare the results of the Banner Voting poll. Also, as dictated by tradition, there are some problems with the recording but let’s face it, it’s part of our charm. 50 episodes in and still getting the hang of it. Enjoy 😉

Episode 47: Road Trip Movies

11202655_842555839126535_4212706559182538116_n

It’s time to pack your suitcase and jump into a cinematic (and – sadly – fictional) car with the chicks and special guest Jay Cluitt (www.lifevsfilm.com). One of the most loyal (and only?) listeners of this podcast, Jay travelled all the way from England to our Skype conversation just to be rudely questioned and told that his opinions on movies are wrong. However, along the road we all found together and raved about the intense pleasure we all derive from the peculiar genre of road movies. This episode also features the T-Rex from Jurassic Park and Britney Spears.

Structure:
00:00 – 04:39 – Chick-chatter
04:39 – 05:38 – Trailer
05:38 – 17:06 – Guest questionnaire
17:07 – 1:07:59 – Our Top 3 road movies + thoughts
1:07:59 – 1:14:18 – Plugs and Goodbyes

Songs:
Radar Love, Golden Earring
Road Runner, Bo Diddley
Across the Universe, Cindy Lauper
